Justice for Vhong Navarro

As all netizens around the world knows what had happened to Vhong Navarro is injustice. He landed to the hospital fighting for his life to death. Nonetheless, if he ever made a mistake to someone or committed a sin to that woman that invited him over her condo, no one should torture and beat him up to death. As I was reading the scripted interview, it is clearly extortion case and evidently a set-up situation. People nowadays are looking for an easier way to make money but extorting someone wouldn't work anymore. I hope the true justice will win and those criminals will sentenced according to the law of justice.

Vhong Navarro Breaking out of Silence EXCLUSIVE interview after being Tortured for Extortion!

The truth finally reveals after those days of silence, the TV host/actor Vhong Navarro's who was suffering from the brutal attack is still being confined and recovering in the hospital. According to an exclusive interview of a TV show "the Buzz ng Bayan" on January 26, 2014, hosted by Boy Abunda,  Vhong tells all for the truth that the assault was a pure set-up and extortion blackmail by the two main attackers namely: Deniece Millet Cornejo, the woman behind Vhong's assault and who invited Vhong over to her condo where he was brutally attacked and beaten up by around 6-7 men and Cedric Lee, the mastermind of the brutal attack.

Trending Vhong Navarro Brutally Beaten Up

When I was browsing my Facebook this morning, I was terrified when I read the brutal news about Vhong Navarro beaten up to death by a group of men and shocked to see his almost unrecognizable face. He was tied up and attacked by unknown men in a condominium in Taguig.  What should be the motive of those crazy men? Would it be really extortion or plain jealousy?  As far I know, he is a good actor and one of my Filipino celebrity idol of being so down-to-earth type of guy. Despite of his good heart, those astray men has nothing relevant to do in their lives but causing troubles. Fortunately, the condo that he visited got CCTV to proved who's story is real. I hope and pray for Vhong Navarro's justice and for his quick recovery. To view his current images, kindly follow the source of Vhong Navarro news.

Banning of SMOKING in Public Places and Parks!

If I had the chance to write a note to the Health Department officials, I would definitely ask them to urged the banning of smokers inside those public parks. If health wise smoking is dangerous for the adults, how much more to those innocent childrens with fragile lungs? It happened to us several times, I took my child to a public park nearby and sadly we cannot stay any longer after smelling and inhaling those disgustingly nasty smokes. Smokers are usually smoking in the face of their kids without even thinking how it could affect their kids' lungs. I felt bad to those parents who are trying to kill their kids by burning their lungs early. I hope someday, someone will take charge of this issue. And to those avid smokers, please act responsibly and stay away from those non-smokers around you. We, non-smokers does not want smell your smoking habit.

Pumpkin Pie Quick and Easy Recipe!

Pumpkin pie is good for all seasons. Although it is the most popular dessert for Thanksgiving day and even Christmas day. Traditionally, farmers grow so much pumpkins every year to throw as part of Halloween decorations. Most people loves carving their pumpkins and thereafter it will just go to waste. Don't get me wrong I like that simple decorating idea especially when its lit up. However, I leave my pumpkin whole and I saved it for Thanksgiving dinner.

I have my own quick recipe to share and believe me, I never thought baking a homemade pie could be as quick as this. First, make sure you have all the ingredients needed, from the pie crust, eggs, a can of condensed milk, pumpkin spice and of course the pumpkin. Cut the whole pumpkin into quarter and let is cook in the oven for 30 minutes until it is ready for smashing.

2 tbsp of pumpkin spice
2 eggs

Preheat the oven to 350F. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Stir well. Gently pour into the crust.  Bake it until it appears brown. Let is set in the oven to cool down and Serve it with a whipping cream. Enjoy!

Learning Tagalog Language

It is amazing that some people are just willing to adopt and learn Tagalog. And to those who are willing to learn my native language, "I salute You"! Personally, it makes me feel at ease or should I say, I feel like I can easily fit in the crowd of strangers when someone says even a single word "Kumusta?". Usually the shocking facial reaction is what you will get as an answer. I knew that Google translate can help as well but the accuracy is not always perfect. So, I encouraged you to leave me a word to translate here. Then again learning Tagalog is not as easy as you think but I can teach you a little bit and we can start with the basic.

Tagalog/Filipino      to   English
'Kumusta' = is simply saying 'Hi'
'Kumusta ka?'       = 'How are you?'
'Magandang Umaga' = 'Good Morning'
'Magandang Gabi' = ' Good Evening or Good Night'
'Paalam' = 'Good bye'

If you are trying to introduce yourself to someone, you have to say;
                your name
Ako ay si   (Juan)    or Ako po ay si (Juan)
or Ang pangalan ko ay si (Juan)                             is equivalent to  = My name is (John)

Asking questions or informations to a Tagalog speaker:

'Saan ka nakatira?' = 'Where do you live?'
'Ilang taon ka na?' = 'How old are you?'
'Ano ang ginagawa mo?'= 'What are you doing?'

Showing interest to learn Tagalog,
'Gusto kong matutong magTagalog' = 'I want to learn Tagalog words'

'Mabuhay!' = 'Longlive!' and Happy learning everyone!

H1N1 or pH1N1 Flu Season

The influenza A (pH1N1) virus is alarming people across the country, there have been positive flu cases and dozens of deaths and many of them are healthy people with no medical problems. Doctors are encouraging everyone to get vaccinated especially those infants, elders and people with weak immune systems. To learn more about this pandemic flu, please follow this link http://www.webmd.com/cold-and-flu/features/swine-flu-faq-1. Thus, WebMD.com gives us idea of what are the flu symptoms and how to handle it.

What is swine flu?

Swine flu, also known as 2009 H1N1 type A influenza, is a human disease. People get the disease from other people, not from pigs.
The disease originally was nicknamed swine flu because the virus that causes the disease originally jumped to humans from the live pigs in which it evolved. The virus is a "reassortant" --  a mix of genes from swine, bird, and human flu viruses. Scientists are still arguing about what the virus should be called, but most people know it as the H1N1 swine flu virus.

Applicant for Managerial Position- A Heart Touching Story

As I was browsing Facebook, I stumbled on a very heart felt story which makes me look back on my past. It was all about a fresh college graduate who applied for a managerial position in a big company. The post caption was "Best Story that can will make You Cry". Well, to make this story more exciting you should read the whole thing and tell me if did it make you cry? I did! I have to admit that when it comes to the middle part of the story my tears went flowing uncontrollable. For I have absorbed the moral lessons that this story is trying to reach the reader. I highly give some credits to the original post on Facebook shared by Junrix S. Monter.

One young man went to apply for a managerial position in a big company. He passed the initial interview, and now would meet the director for the final interview.

The director discovered from his CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent. He asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" the youth answered "no".

" Was it your father who paid for your school fees?"

"My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees.” he replied.

" Where did your mother work?"

"My mother worked as clothes cleaner.”

The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

" Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?"

"Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.

The director said, "I have a request. When you go home today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back home, he asked his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to her son.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother winced when he touched it.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fees. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his education, his school activities and his future.

After cleaning his mother hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, when he asked: "Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered," I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'

“I know now what appreciation is. Without my mother, I would not be who I am today. By helping my mother, only now do I realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done on your own. And I have come to appreciate the importance and value of helping one’s family.

The director said, "This is what I am looking for in a manager. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life.”

“You are hired.”

This young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and worked as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop an "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others. For this kind of people, who may be good academically, they may be successful for a while, but eventually they would not feel a sense of achievement. They will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying our children instead?

You can let your child live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch on a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it. After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person. The most important thing is your child learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done.
