According to an exclusive interview of a TV show "the Buzz ng Bayan" on January 26, 2014, hosted by Boy Abunda, Vhong tells all for the truth that the assault was a pure set-up and extortion blackmail by the two main attackers namely: Deniece Millet Cornejo, the woman behind Vhong's assault and who invited Vhong over to her condo where he was brutally attacked and beaten up by around 6-7 men and Cedric Lee, the mastermind of the brutal attack.
